Was wäre, wenn wir ein Kind ausschließlich in einer virtuellen Welt großziehen könnten? Wenn Fürsorge, Nähe und Elternschaft nicht mehr an einen Körper gebunden wären? 
Wunschkind ist ein Musiktheaterprojekt, das Neue Musik, Tanz und Augmented/Virtuell Reality verbindet und einen Raum öffnet, in dem Hoffnung und Unbehagen, Sehnsucht und Befremden aufeinandertreffen.

Die Inszenierung führt das Publikum in eine Welt, die unsere Gegenwart spiegelt und zugleich eine Zukunft behauptet - in der sich analoge und digitale Realitäten noch unmittelbarer begegnen - voller Reibung, Ambivalenz und neuer Möglichkeiten.
Im Mittelpunkt steht die Auseinandersetzung mit der Rolle von Künstlicher Intelligenz im sozialen Leben: Welche Chancen eröffnet sie – und was geht verloren, wenn Fürsorge und Vergänglichkeit verschwinden? Wunschkind  lädt dazu ein, diese Fragen nicht nur zu denken, sondern hautnah zu erleben.

What if we could raise a child exclusively in a virtual world? What if care, closeness and parenthood were no longer tied to a body?
Wunschkind is a music theater project that combines new music, dance and augmented/virtual reality and opens up a space in which hope and discomfort, longing and alienation meet.

The production leads the audience into a world that reflects our present and at the same time asserts a future - in which analog and digital realities meet even more directly - full of friction, ambivalence and new possibilities.
The focus is on the role of artificial intelligence in social life: What opportunities does it open up - and what is lost when care and transience disappear? Wunschkind invites you not only to think about these questions, but to experience them first-hand.

Barriers

We strive to minimize barriers: The meta-glasses can be individually adapted (including your own glasses), there are breaks to set them down. The play lasts approx. 50 minutes in total. Translations in Arabic, English or German appear in the glasses as required. It is also possible to have a picture-only version without subtitles. Early access to the room is possible (early boarding). There is full wheelchair access - unfortunately only the toilets in the building are not barrier-free.
