ATTENTION: Access by car to WERKRAUM - closure in Stresemannstraße, as of January 2023.

Access by car via Königsallee is currently closed due to construction work. Stresemannstraße is only open to cars as far as Levinstraße. The WERKRAUM is still easily accessible on foot and by bike.

You can also reach us by bus via the bus stops "Wilhelm-Lambrecht-Straße" (71/72), "Tuchmacherweg" (73) and "Elliehäuser Weg" (12). From here it is only a 3-5 minute walk to WERKRAUM.

Further information on bus schedules can be obtained directly from the GöVB.

Barriers

• Early boarding is possible with us! This means that we will be happy to meet you individually before regular admission if required. Please contact us at info@boatpeopleprojekt.de or call 0172 4086019.
• In the WERKRAUM the entrance is accessible for wheelchair users, also the access to the stage is accessible with a wheelchair. There are also spaces for wheelchairs in the auditorium.
• If required, we can offer beanbags as an alternative seating option. Please ask on site!
• Unfortunately, barrier-free toilets are not available.
• For possible subtitling and translations, please check our respective events.
• For possible disturbing light effects, please inform yourself about our respective events.
• Wheelchair spaces are available at most of our performances. Please also inform yourself about this on the information pages of the respective events or write us an email(info@boatpeopleprojekt.de).
• Assistance and companion dogs are welcome!

Rental and guest performances

We rent out our venue when the schedule allows itfor guest performances and other (cultural) events, that fit our thematic orientation. The allocation of the renting is discussed and decided in the team. For further information please contact Franziska Aeschlimann franziska.aeschlimann[at]gmx.de.

The Rooms

Our venue offers a spacious foyer (approx. 20m x 10m), which can also be used as an event room, as well as toilet rooms, a simple bar and a fully equipped kitchen. The separate stage room is 8m x 10m and can normally (before Corona) accommodate a total of 80-100 spectators*. Furthermore, there are two smaller rooms that can be used as dressing rooms, rest rooms or similar.
A barrier-free entrance is available, but unfortunately barrier-free toilets are not yet avai lable.Unfortunately, we cannot offer showers.

Location and directions

The WERKRAUM is located in the city area of Grone in the west of Göttingen, in the immediate vicinity of the Levinschen Park.

It takes about 10 minutes by bike from Göttingen's main train station to our venue; motorized access is via the nearby Königsallee, Autobahn A7 or Bundesstraße B27.

Come by bus! About 10 minutes ride from the stops Bahnhof/Markt/Jüdenstraße. Exit: Wilhelm-Lambrecht-Straße (71 (direction Esebeck) / 72 (direction Kaufpark)) or Elliehäuser Weg (Bus 11/12, direction Holtenser Berg).
