At last! A new participation project is getting off the ground! By citizens for citizens! By those who stayed here for those who stayed here! Be part of it - between June and September 2024!
Participation in the project is FREE! NO previous experience is required!

What is it all about?

And to prove it, we, eight artists from boat people projekt, would like to organize a very special journey for tourists and travel enthusiasts to the Weststadt of Göttingen together with you and you and you! The motto of this micro-adventure is: By citizens for citizens, by those who stayed here for those who stayed here! It follows on from the successful projectHIER GEBLIEBEN! from the year 2022only this time people from Weststadt and Göttingen are designing the short trip, albeit together with theater professionals. It's about having fun on location in places that are fun. With everyone who is up for it and has the time to embark on a small or larger adventure.

The workshops

To make this possible, we are offering four workshop groups with different focuses and in different time formats from the end of May to mid-September 2024. This means, for example, that one workshop will take place weekly, another will be more compact in terms of time, i.e. offered at weekends, and yet another in a two-week block. In each of these workshops, people like you and me and you are invited to join us on an artistic training course to become a "Tripster Artist". What is a tripster artist? Yes, we will find out that and much more at our big information event in the WERKRAUM on Thursday, May 16 from 5-6 pm!

Four teams, each with two artists, will introduce themselves and their plans on this date, describe the content and process of the project and clarify deadlines.

We are looking for YOU!

To take part in (perhaps even more than) one workshop, all you need to do is enjoy being creative with others and have the time and desire to be part of a cultural adventure with an audience. This summer, for example, you can play, dance, write or shape Weststadt in other ways with us! Build, invent and make a piece of your world the way you like it! At the end, you will be a freshly baked Tripster Artist, guiding day trippers of all kinds through the Weststadt, which you have illuminated in a completely new way.

Barriers

ALL interested people are invited to this project! No previous experience or good knowledge of German is necessary. There will also be workshop groups that are suitable for people with wheelchairs, walking or visual impairments. If you have any further questions about barriers, please contact us!

Bei Fragen zu Barrieren oder bei anderen besonderen Bedürfnissen wendet euch gerne im Vorfeld oder direkt vor Ort an uns. Wir sind immer und gerne ansprechbar!

Strecke: Der Weg ist ca. 3,5 Kilometer lang. Er kann bei Gehproblemen mit dem (eigenen) Fahrrad absolviert werden. Der Weg ist größtenteils befestigt. Vereinzelt gibt es kurze Abschnitte, die unbefestigt sind (Rasen). Start- und Endpunkt ist unser Theater, der WERKRAUM (Stresemannsr. 24c, Göttingen).

Dauer: Die Dauer der Veranstaltung ist abhängig von der individuellen Geschwindigkeit unserer Gäste - an viele Stationen kann man sich nach Bedarf länger oder kürzer aufhalten. Wir rechnen mit einer Durchschnittsdauer von 3-4 Stunden.

Sprache: Die Veranstaltungssprache ist Deutsch. An vielen Stationen werden unterschiedliche Übersetzungen angeboten auf Englisch, teilweise Französisch, Spanisch, Arabisch. Dies ist abhängig von der Besetzung der jeweiligen Vorstellungen.

Toiletten: Auf der ersten Streckenhälfte gibt es viele Toiletten, die genutzt werden können. Sie sind teilweise barrierefrei. Im WERKRAUM gibt es Toiletten (ebenerdig, nicht barrierefrei), er ist der Start- und Endpunkt des Spaziergangs.

Wetter: Die Veranstaltung wird nur bei Starkregen/Gewitter/Sturm abgesagt. Dies wird so früh wie möglich HIER auf der Webseite und über die sozialen Medien kommuniziert.

Hunde: Es ist nicht möglich Hunde mitzunehmen, bzw. diese müssten bei vielen Stationen jeweils draußen alleine angeleint werden.

Der Spaziergang ist eng betreut von mehreren Helfer:innen! Immer wiede werdet ihr auf Menschen aus unserem Team treffen, die euch gerne helfen und denen ihr Fragen stellen könnt.
